Scalable Visualization of Discrete Velocity Decompositions using Spatially Organized Histograms

In this work we developed and tested a new histogram based technique and system for the visualization of velocity information from large scale particle based data sets.

Franz Sauer is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Davis, studying computer science and scientific visualization under Kwan-Liu Ma. His research interests include data visualization, large-scale scientific simulations, computer graphics, and physics. Before joining the ViDi group, Franz received a B.S. in physics from the California Institute of Technology.

My research interests are in scientific visualization and data analysis, high performance computing, and human computer interaction.
