TOPP Visualization: Marine Animal Migration Pattern Visualization


We are developing an upcoming Exploratorium exhibit to visualize TOPP data. We experiment with various visual encodings to see which are the most effective.

Researchers

Javid Chien-Hsin Hsueh, received his B.S and M.S. in Computer Science from National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Currently, he is pursuing Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at UC Davis His research interests include information visualization, visual analytics, and human-computer interaction.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Chu has been interested in computer graphics and how it is used in visualization for various fields. She also enjoys designing systems that are intuitive for the domain user. She is currently interested in scientific visualization and rendering techniques. Jackie is presently finishing her Masters in Computer Science at UC Davis.
