A team of graduate students from the VIDI laboratory won two awards for the 2009 VAST Challenge. The team submitted two entries in the categories of "Badge and Network Traffic" and "Video Analysis." They were awarded for "Good Clarity of Analysis Supported by Visuals" and "Good Integration of Open Source Tools for Video Analysis," respectively. This is the team's first time participating in the VAST Challenge.
The VIDI Surveillance team members are Chad Jones, Michael Ogawa, James Shearer, and Anna Tikhonova, with faculty sponsor Kwan-Liu Ma.
